These Terms of Service govern the use of the PRVEN platform, including the PRVEN website and verification application.

By accessing or using the PRVEN platform, you agree to these Terms of Service. If you do not agree with these terms, you must not use the PRVEN service.

PRVEN Terms of Service

For the purposes of these Terms:

 

  • “PRVEN”, “we”, “us”, and “our” refer to the PRVEN platform and its operator(s)
  • “you” and “your” refer to any individual or organisation using the PRVEN platform
  • “platform” refers to all PRVEN services, including the website, verification application, and verification registry
 
  1. Introduction & Operator Information

PRVEN provides individuals and organisations with a transparent way to demonstrate that a biometric identity verification event has occurred within a secure verification system.

PRVEN operates a digital identity verification registry that records user-initiated biometric verification events and generates timestamped verification records.

The PRVEN platform includes:

• https://prven.org — marketing and information website
• https://identity.prven.org — verification application and registry

Together, these form the PRVEN platform.

PRVEN is operated by a sole trader based in England and Wales.

These Terms apply to all use of the PRVEN platform, including any verification records generated.

By accessing or using PRVEN, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, you must not use the service.

  1. Nature of the Service & Verification Scope

PRVEN provides a transparent system for recording biometric verification events and allowing those events to be referenced through verification records.

PRVEN operates as a digital identity and likeness verification registry.

A verification record confirms that a biometric verification event occurred within the PRVEN system at a specific point in time.

Verification reflects only the outcome of an automated comparison between a live capture and a reference image.

What Verification Confirms

A successful verification confirms that:

• a biometric liveness check was performed
• a similarity comparison was completed
• the event occurred at a specific time

What Verification Does Not Confirm

PRVEN verification does not:

• confirm government-issued identity
• confirm legal identity status
• guarantee ongoing identity authenticity
• prevent impersonation or fraud
• prevent misuse of identity or likeness
• guarantee lawful behaviour

Verification represents only the outcome at the time it occurred.

PRVEN does not guarantee that the same individual will be associated with a record in future interactions.

Any reliance on a verification record is entirely at your own risk.

PRVEN is not:

• a government authority
• a certification body
• a notary or regulator
• a legal identity provider
• a fraud prevention system
• a background check provider
• a continuous authentication system

Responsible Use of Verification Records

Users are responsible for how verification records are used or presented.

Users must not:

• present verification as legal identity proof
• claim endorsement or certification by PRVEN
• misrepresent the meaning of a verification record
• use verification in a misleading or deceptive way

Verification records provide transparency, not authority.

PRVEN encourages responsible use to support trust while maintaining accuracy.

PRVEN aims to provide a clear and understandable system that helps individuals demonstrate authenticity in a complex digital environment.

While verification has defined limitations, it provides a useful reference point when used appropriately.

PRVEN does not guarantee that the person associated with a verification record will remain the same individual in any future interaction or context.

Verification applies only to the specific verification event at the time it occurred and does not represent continuous identity validation.

Users and third parties must not assume that a verification record reflects ongoing identity authenticity beyond the recorded event.

PRVEN does not guarantee that any verification attempt will result in a successful outcome.

  1. Eligibility & Acceptable Use

To use PRVEN, you must:

• be at least 18 years old
• have legal capacity to agree to these Terms
• provide accurate identity information

Both individuals and businesses may use the service.

Users must not:

• misrepresent identity
• impersonate others
• submit inaccurate images
• use the platform unlawfully
• interfere with platform operation
• reverse engineer the system
• scrape or index verification records
• exploit or misuse the system

PRVEN may suspend access where misuse is suspected.

PRVEN reserves the right to refuse access to the platform at its discretion where it considers such access inappropriate, unlawful, or contrary to these Terms.

  1. Verification Records & Page Visibility

Users can control how verification records are displayed.

Visibility options may include:

• Public — visible and potentially indexed
• Unlisted — accessible via link
• Private — visible only to the user

Users are responsible for selecting appropriate visibility.

Once public, PRVEN cannot control third-party access, copying, or redistribution.

PRVEN does not guarantee that content will not be indexed or archived externally.

PRVEN provides these controls to balance privacy and public trust.

PRVEN does not guarantee that verification pages will remain continuously available or accessible.

 

Verification records may be modified, restricted, or removed in accordance with these Terms

  1. Third-Party Infrastructure

PRVEN relies on third-party providers for:

• biometric processing
• cloud hosting
• secure data transmission

PRVEN does not control these systems.

PRVEN is not liable for:

• processing errors
• API failures
• outages
• delays
• service interruptions

PRVEN carefully selects providers to deliver a reliable and secure experience.

  1. Data Handling & Biometric Processing

PRVEN uses a privacy-first approach.

During verification:

• biometric data is processed only for real-time verification
• no biometric database is maintained
• no biometric templates are stored
• no liveness data is retained

Reference images are not stored long-term.

After verification:

• a cryptographic hash may be stored
• a low-resolution thumbnail may be generated (if enabled)

Biometric processing may use secure third-party systems.

By using PRVEN, you acknowledge:

• biometric data is processed temporarily
• no long-term biometric database exists
• verification requires temporary use of your likeness

PRVEN aims to minimise data retention while maintaining system integrity.

PRVEN continuously improves system performance and reliability.

  1. Platform Availability

PRVEN is provided on an “as available” and “as is” basis.

PRVEN may:

• perform maintenance
• modify the platform
• suspend services
• introduce or remove features

Interruptions may occur due to:

• maintenance
• technical faults
• infrastructure issues
• third-party failures
• security incidents

PRVEN is not liable for downtime.

PRVEN works continuously to improve reliability.

  1. Fees & Payments

Some features may require payment.

Where fees apply:

• pricing will be shown clearly
• payment is required before activation
• payments are final unless required by law

PRVEN uses secure third-party payment providers.

PRVEN does not store full card details.

Users must provide accurate payment information.

PRVEN may change pricing, but not for completed purchases.

PRVEN aims to provide clear and transparent pricing.

PRVEN is not responsible for unsuccessful verification attempts and does not guarantee refunds where verification is not completed or does not succeed, unless required by law.

  1. Account Suspension & Verification Revocation

PRVEN may suspend accounts or revoke verification where it reasonably believes:

• misuse has occurred
• identity is misrepresented
• unlawful activity is suspected
• system integrity is at risk
• legal or security risks exist

Actions may be taken without notice where necessary.

These measures protect users and system integrity.

  1. Account Security

Users must:

• keep credentials secure
• not share accounts
• report unauthorised access

PRVEN is not responsible for losses due to user negligence.

  1. Intellectual Property

All PRVEN intellectual property remains owned by PRVEN, including:

• software
• systems
• processes
• design
• branding

Users may not copy, reproduce, or reverse engineer the platform.

Use of PRVEN does not grant ownership rights.

  1. Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law:

Individual Users
Liability is limited to £100 or the amount paid in the last 12 months.

Business Users
PRVEN is not liable for:

• loss of profits
• loss of revenue
• loss of opportunity
• reputational damage
• indirect or consequential loss

Total liability is capped at £100 or the amount paid.

PRVEN is not liable for:

• reliance on verification records
• interpretation of results
• impersonation or identity misuse
• AI or deepfake content
• third-party misuse

PRVEN aims to operate transparently within defined limitations.

12A. No Reliance & No Representation

PRVEN provides a technical verification system that records the outcome of a biometric verification event at a specific point in time.

PRVEN does not make any representation, warranty, or assurance regarding:

• the identity of any individual beyond the recorded verification event
• the ongoing authenticity of any person
• the intentions, conduct, or legitimacy of any user
• the accuracy, completeness, or reliability of any verification record beyond the recorded data
• the suitability of any verification record for any specific purpose

Verification records are provided for informational and reference purposes only.

They are not intended to be relied upon as:

• proof of legal identity
• proof of trustworthiness, credibility, or reputation
• proof of authority, endorsement, or certification
• a substitute for independent verification or due diligence

You agree that:

• you will not rely on PRVEN verification records as the sole basis for any decision
• you are solely responsible for any decisions made based on verification records
• any reliance on verification records is entirely at your own risk

To the fullest extent permitted by law, PRVEN disclaims all liability arising from:

• reliance on verification records
• misinterpretation of verification data
• decisions made based on verification records
• any use of verification records outside their intended scope

PRVEN aims to provide a transparent reference system, but does not assume responsibility for how verification records are interpreted or used by any party.

  1. No Warranty

PRVEN is provided without warranties.

PRVEN does not guarantee:

• accuracy beyond the recorded event
• uninterrupted operation
• suitability for any purpose

All implied warranties are excluded where permitted.

  1. Non-Excludable Liability

Nothing excludes liability for:

• death or personal injury due to negligence
• fraud or misrepresentation
• any liability that cannot be excluded by law

  1. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales.

Courts of England and Wales have exclusive jurisdiction.

PRVEN does not guarantee that the platform is appropriate or available for use in all jurisdictions.

 

Users are responsible for ensuring that their use of the platform complies with applicable local laws.

  1. Additional Provisions

16.1 AI & Third-Party Data Use

PRVEN does not control how third parties use public data.

PRVEN does not authorise AI training on user data.

PRVEN is not responsible for:

• data scraping
• AI usage
• dataset creation

Users accept that public data may be accessed externally.

PRVEN supports responsible AI use.

PRVEN does not monitor, restrict, or control how publicly accessible information may be collected, copied, or reused by third parties.

Users acknowledge that once information is publicly accessible, it may be stored, indexed, or reproduced independently of the PRVEN platform.

16.2 Identity Disputes

PRVEN does not resolve identity disputes or determine ownership.

PRVEN may suspend records where concerns arise.

16.3 Third-Party Use of Verification

PRVEN does not control how third parties interpret verification records.

PRVEN is not responsible for:

• decisions based on records
• misuse or misinterpretation

All reliance is at third-party risk.

  1. Changes to Terms

PRVEN may update these Terms.

Continued use means acceptance of updates.

  1. Severability

If any part is invalid, the rest remains enforceable.

19A. Referral & Ambassador Programme

PRVEN may offer a referral or ambassador programme that allows users to refer others to the platform.

Participation is optional and subject to these Terms and any additional conditions communicated by PRVEN.

Eligibility

To participate, users must:

• have a valid PRVEN account
• comply with these Terms
• not be subject to suspension or restriction

PRVEN may determine eligibility at its sole discretion.

Referral Qualification

A referral is only considered valid where:

• a new user signs up using a valid referral method
• the referred user completes the required onboarding process
• the referred user completes verification (if required for the reward)
• the activity is genuine and not artificially generated

PRVEN may define additional qualification criteria depending on the programme.

Rewards

Where rewards are offered:

• rewards may be monetary or non-monetary
• rewards are only issued after qualifying conditions are met
• rewards may be subject to verification, delay, or review

PRVEN does not guarantee that any referral will result in a reward.

Prohibited Conduct

Users must not:

• create fake or duplicate accounts
• refer themselves directly or indirectly
• use bots, automation, or scripts
• engage in spam, bulk messaging, or unsolicited promotion
• misrepresent PRVEN or the verification process
• provide misleading or deceptive information

Review & Enforcement

PRVEN reserves the right to:

• review referral activity at any time
• delay, withhold, or reverse rewards
• disqualify referrals that do not meet requirements
• suspend or terminate participation in the programme

PRVEN may take action where it reasonably believes abuse, fraud, or manipulation has occurred.

Programme Changes

PRVEN may:

• modify or update the referral programme
• change reward structures
• suspend or discontinue the programme

Changes may apply immediately unless stated otherwise.

No Employment or Partnership

Participation in the referral or ambassador programme does not create:

• an employment relationship
• a partnership
• an agency relationship

Users act independently and are not authorised to represent PRVEN.

Purpose

PRVEN aims to build a fair and transparent referral system that rewards genuine participation while protecting the integrity of the platform.

  1. Entire Agreement

These Terms replace all prior agreements.

No external statements modify these Terms.

  1. User Acknowledgement

By using PRVEN, you acknowledge:

• it is a technical verification system
• it is not legal identity certification
• verification is point-in-time only
• misuse by third parties is possible

Use is at your own risk.

  1. Acceptance of Terms

By using PRVEN, you confirm:

• you understand these Terms
• you agree to be bound by them
