How PRVEN Verification Works
Verifying your identity with PRVEN takes only a few minutes.
The process confirms that a real human identity matches the person completing verification.
Once verification succeeds, a public verification page (linking all your socials!) is created, confirming that the identity has been authenticated.
This page becomes a trusted reference others can use to confirm your authenticity quickly, and easily.
VERIFICATION OVERVIEW
Verification is completed through the PRVEN verification application.
During the process you will:
• create your verification account
• submit a reference image
• complete a short live verification check
The system then confirms that the person completing verification matches the submitted identity.
If verification succeeds, a public verification record is generated confirming that a real human identity has been verified.
STEP 1 — CREATE AN ACCOUNT
Verification begins by creating a PRVEN account.
Your account allows you to manage your verification record and control verification settings.
Account creation requires:
• an email address
• a password
Once the account is created, the verification process can begin.
STEP 2 — UPLOAD YOUR REFERENCE PHOTO
The verification process requires a reference image representing the identity being verified.
This image acts as the visual reference used during verification.
The image should:
• clearly show your face
• be a natural photo of the person being verified
• represent the likeness that will be associated with the verification record
The image is used only during the verification process.
STEP 3 — COMPLETE LIVE IDENTITY VERIFICATION
The system performs a live biometric verification check.
During this step, you complete a short liveness capture confirming that you are physically present.
The system confirms:
• that a real person is present
• that the person matches the submitted reference image
The verification process produces measurable verification metrics, including:
• confidence score
• similarity score
• verification timestamp
• verification region
These values become part of the verification record.
STEP 4 — VERIFICATION RECORD CREATION
When verification is successful, PRVEN generates a verification record confirming that the identity passed the verification process.
Each record includes:
• verification ID
• verification timestamp
• verification region
• similarity score
• confidence score
This record becomes the permanent reference for that verification event.
STEP 5 — PUBLIC VERIFICATION PAGE
A public verification page is generated for every successful verification.
Example format:
identity.prven.org/verify/[verificationId]
This page allows anyone with the link to confirm that a real human identity has been verified.
The verification page displays:
• VERIFIED HUMAN status
• verification timestamp
• verification region
• similarity score
• confidence score
These pages allow independent confirmation that the verification event occurred.
HOW REFERENCE IMAGES ARE HANDLED
PRVEN is designed to minimise long-term storage of identity images.
After verification:
• the original full-resolution reference image is deleted
• a cryptographic hash of the image is stored
• a small watermarked thumbnail may be retained for display
This approach allows the system to maintain a verification reference without permanently storing the original image.
HOW LONG VERIFICATION TAKES
Verification is typically completed within a few minutes.
Once verification succeeds:
• the verification record is created immediately
• the public verification page becomes available
• the identity is marked as verified within the registry
Users can then share their verification page wherever authenticity confirmation is required
